Masaki is always on top of his game when it comes to promoting his band, that’s just another reason I love Hemoptysis so much. Although not a completely original idea, this is not something you see every day, a band going to great lengths to promote their sponsors/endorsements!
Hiring Victor J. Palagano III of Eyeful Images Photographic Arts and featuring actual Hemoptysis fans as models, he did a weekend photo shoot spotlighting Jackson Guitars, Krank Amps, and Coffin Cases, as seen in the video.
This has spurred the idea for a fan voted, Hemoptychick of the Month Contest, with the winner receiving free merchandise and a photo spotlight on the Hemoptysis website. Details on that will be released very soon.
On the surface none of this seems overly spectacular, but let’s think about it for a minute. Here we have a self-promoting band (a rarity in itself), not only creating an advertising campaign for the equipment they use on stage, but effectively utilizing fan interaction on a couple of different levels.
I freaking love this band! Hopefully, Jackson, Krank, and Coffin are paying attention.
